Nursery: 3-4 years
In our English Enrichment Programme for Nursery levels, students will enjoy experiential learning in a secure and stimulating environment. We approach language learning with these very young learners through carefully selected stories, songs, rhymes and a wide variety of hands-on learning activities that will appeal to the children’s interest and suit their relatively short concentration spans.
How our Nursery programmes will help your child:
Recognise their own name, recognise rhythm and recite familiar songs, finger plays and poems
Appreciate stories and respond verbally to a simple picture story
Relate to other children well through parallel play, and express themselves in a way that is socially acceptable
Learn appropriate behaviours on managing emotions, listen to others and participate co-operatively in group activities
Share their personal experiences with others in simple sentences
Understand simple directions and common phrases used in routine situations, and complete classification activities (eg. colours, shapes and objects)
Nursery level programmes activities:
Working on pencil grip to draw, and to form lines and circles
Assisting on developing fine motor skill activities (eg. threading, jigsaws, colouring, painting, playdough)
Speaking in simple sentences
Teaching how to use simple vocabulary to name objects and convey wants and needs
